&lt;p&gt;En relación al rol de las nuevas tecnologías el informe afirma que &quot;las TIC cambiarán el qué, cómo, dónde y cuándo aprender de las personas. Debido a la ubicuidad de la tecnología y su poder para facilitar el acceso a entornos virtuales de aprendizaje, hará viable el aprendizaje personalizado para toda la vida. Las TIC permiten a los profesores responder mejor a la diversidad y heterogeneidad en el aula y adaptar los materiales de aprendizaje y los objetivos a las necesidades individuales. Las TIC, además, aumentarán las oportunidades de aprendizaje y éste se integrará en la vida de las personas adaptando su formación, objetivos, calendario y ritmo a las necesidades y preferencias individuales.&quot;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;En sus conclusiones el informe también añade que...&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;However, to realise the potential of ICT in promoting tailor-made collaborative learning opportunities that are adaptable, challenging, relevant and enjoyable, open access and basic digital skills need to be fostered. Policy makers need to ensure that all citizens will be able to benefit from the opportunities offered and that more vulnerable groups are equipped with the necessary skills to participate in learning activities that are more and more technology-based. Similarly, E&amp;amp;T institutions will need to be provided with the necessary ICT infrastructure and tools to become e-mature. Teachers and trainers need to receive targeted training, enabling them to align pedagogy and technology to the benefit of their learners.&lt;/p&gt;
