    &lt;li&gt;La adquisición de Moodlerooms y NetSpot, dos de los principales partners oficiales de Moodle que proporcionan servicios de alojamiento y consultoría sobre esta plataforma. Ambas compañías seguirán operando independientemente, aunque integradas en la división de servicios open source de Blackboard.&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;La incorporación de Charles Severance, de la Sakai Foundation, a la división de servicios open source de Blackboard.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ol&gt;&lt;p&gt;Además, Blackboard también informó ayer que continuará dando servicio a los usuarios de ANGEL, una de las plataformas de elearning que adquirió en años recientes.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;En conjunto, sin duda esto representa un cambio de dirección muy significativo. Como dice en su blog Wilbert Kraan (JISC), &quot;los entornos virtuales de aprendizaje se han convertido en un artículo de consumo [&lt;em&gt;commodity&lt;/em&gt;]. Todo el mundo necesita uno, su funcionamiento es bastante predecible y no se diferencian mucho.&quot; Así que Blackboard habría decidido dejar de concentrarse en cobrar por su propio software (que seguirá desarrollando y vendiendo) y convertirse en proveedor de servicios para cualquiera de las herramientas de aprendizaje más usadas.
